What Is Complete Probiotics?

Complete Probiotics is a multi probiotic capsule containing 60 billion cfu from well know health reformer Dr Mercola.

60 billion is a high dose - much higher than most supplements - and the good news is that it does not require refridgeration.

This means you avoid so many of the problems attempting to ensure your probiotics stay in prime condition. Easy to take with you when traveling or to the office.

It contains:

• L acidophilus - 20 billion cfu
• B lactis - 20 billion cfu
• B longum - 6 billion cfu
• B bifidum - 5 billion cfu
• L casei - 5 billion cfu
• L plantarum - 5 billion cfu
• L salicarius - 1 billion cfu
• L rhamnosus - 1 billion cfu
• L bulgaricus - 1 billion cfu
• Kyo Dophilus - 1 billion, this is a blend of L acidophilus, B bifidum and B longum
• Bacillus coagulans - 1 billion cfu

Also contains FOS, cellulose in the vegetable capsule, plant fiber and silica. Note that on the label Bacillus coagulans is called Lactobacillus sporogenes which is the "old fashioned" name for this bacteria.

What I particularly like about Complete Probiotics is the diverse range of probiotics found in it. You're getting a variety of different members of both the Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium family. If your own internal microflora have taken a hit with antibiotics or your immune system is below par then this is a good way of quickly getting a a variety of good bacteria in place.

The down side is that he doesn't say which strain of each of these bacteria he uses but certainly members of each of these families are found in other probiotic supplements.

Dr Mercola is a controversial figure who has diversified off into all sorts of health products from cookware to sunbeds. Not everyone agrees with all his findings in some of these related fields and over the years he has antagonized many people with his claims - but he still has many fans.

However, when it comes to probiotics he is on much safer ground, and this is a great multi probiotic capsule that is hard to beat.
