LP299v is Best Probiotic for IBS

by Jennifer
(South Africa)

On the 3 April I went to see my gynae. I had recently had a bout of very stubborn Thrush. He asked whether I had IBS. I have never been formally diagnosed with IBS but at the late age of 45 it finally dawned on me that that is what I had! He suggested a product called LP299v (marketed as such in South Africa). In 1 week I had substantial relief from all IBS symptoms. Another thing that I have noticed is that my eczema has started to clear up. I still try and stay of wheat, of course, which really aggravates my IBS. The Thrush has also gone, hopefully never to return!

I have not priced this product at other pharmacies, so it may be cheaper/more expensive elsewhere (South African Rand 262.85 for 60 capsules.) Apparently there is a box with 20 capsules available as well. As far as I am concerned, I would be willing to pay even more for a product that has given me this much relief! Initially I took 2 a day, one in the morning and one at night. Once the symptoms were mostly under control I cut back to 1 a day, but was told by my gynae that if I have a bad day with my IBS to take another.

tu zen
by: peter

this product seems to have cleared up my geographic tongue, along with a daily dose of oregano oil. I have run out of my 30 capsules ( which cost over $35 )I really can't afford them, but I tried them, just to experiment. My tongue cleared up, but now that I have stopped taking them, my tongue is returning to it's problem. I guess I have a good bacteria problem which I might have to live with due to Tu Zen being so expensive.

Nice one, Jennifer

Thanks for your response, Jennifer. Because Lactobacillus plantarum 299v is sold world wide under different product names it is helpful for people to discover the names used in other countries. The probiotic bacteria is the same each time - just a different product name.

Great that it dealt to the thrush as well.
