Lactobacillus Reuteri RC14

The star player out of this wonderful family of probiotics just has to be the RC14 strain. When it comes to women's urogenital health, there isn't much that RC-14 can't do.Fem Dophilus for chronic yeast infection and chronic bacterial vaginosis

It is important to understand that RC-14's role is not to "cure" you of any complaint; it's role is to follow quickly in on the heels of "the cure" so as to ensure that you STAY cured. And this it does supremely well.

For any woman with chronic yeast infections chronic bacterial vaginosis, chronic uti - this has to be such good news because as you know it is the "staying cured" that is the problem.1

Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14 is available commercially as an oral probiotic supplement mixed with another urogenital star in products as Fem Dophilus. If you want this specifically for a "wimmins problem", you MUST make sure it is the RC14 strain and it MUST be at a dosage of 10 billion a day. Supplements such as Fem Dophilus and Flora Restore have capsules that contain 5 billion cfu (colony forming units) so that 2 capsules give you your daily dose.

If it for general health, then any of the L reuteri strains are fine. Just be aware that if it is combined with too many other probiotics you might not be getting that much of L reuteri.

(Note that in early research L reuteri RC-14 was called L fermentum RC-14.)

Remember -

A true probiotic will always have the strain specified.

So the wording on the label will be the bacteria name, eg Lactobacillus reuteri, followed by the strain, eg RC 14.

It's those few letters or numbers at the end that make all the difference.
