Yeast Infection Tip number 2!

by Kristin
(Illinois)

Most important: keep the tampon in the applicator. Then push out about a centimeter of the tampon and soak in the yogurt for anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. Then take it out of the yogurt and tap off a little bit because otherwise you could have a huge mess on your hands! Then insert the tampon like usual. You will be able to tell that the centimeter tip is expanded as well as yogurt has gotten into the applicator itself.

I think it works.

Then I just wear a light day pad so any drip wouldn't be a mess.

At last - the woman who has mastered the yogurt saturated tampon! You know, ladies, it never occurred to me that it might be better NOT to remove the applicator to early in the process!

This is quite simply the best way of inserting a yogurt soaked tampon into the vagina that I have heard of.

How long tampon in?
by: Anonymous

How long do you recommend leaving the yogurt tamp in? And how many times a day should this be done?

Dawn answered: Most women do it twice a day and try to leave the yogurt soaked tampon in for a couple of hours if you can. I have heard of women leaving the tampon in overnight but I think I'd try the shorter times first. Make sure it has live bacteria in it - some ladies have found Activia good for this.

It works
by: Kirstie

I tried this method and it really does work.

Too soon to know if the yogurt I'm trying (Activia) is going to cure my yeast infection but at least I've got the yogurt in there. LOL

Yogurt to cure Yeast Infection
by: Anonymous

Ladies,
Go to your local pharmacy where they supply free syringes, take the syringe home and fill it with the yogurt, insert. Very easy. Wear a pantyliner throughout the day. Thanks!!

Great suggestion.

Do you remember what brand of yogurt that you used? Always handy to know.
