The term Pb 8 acidophilus is a multi probiotic supplement made by Now Foods (Nutrition Now). Despite the name, this supplement does not contain only acidophilus.
PB 8 Pro-Biotic Acidophilus contains 1000mg of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus salivarius, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium longum - total of 7 billion cfu in each capsule at the time of manufacture.
These strains are all good and useful probiotics.
You'll see a number of apparently different Pb 8 products om Amazon but they are all the same - the only difference is between the vegetarian or regular capsules.

It is labelled as dairy free but there could possibly be traces because the probiotics are cultured in a dairy base and although the base is removed, traces might still remain.
Most of the adverts state 14 billion cfu but this is per suggested serving not per capsule. Suggested serving is 2 a day so your 60 capsules would last 1 month.
Good reviews for indigestion, acid reflux, IBS, and ulcerative colitis in remission, bad review for active ulcerative colitis and a "probably" on yeast infection.
One lady had good success by taking these with raw garlic and Candistroy for mastitis yeast overgrowth infections during breastfeeding.
The number of bacteria (cfu) is stated as being at the time of manufacture which does not help you much as far as knowing what is still viable. To my mind, this does detract from them a little but they are a popular choice on Amazon.
